This region is called a heart of Alaska which is a hometown of the mind of the spirit of pioneering from the gold rush age. In this region, public transportation is not convenient, accommodations are very limited, so using a package tour is the best way to explore this secluded corner of the world.

Arctic Circle Native Culture Adventure
Tour operates early June - early September.| Schedule: | Travel north on your way to the Arctic Circle in cozy tour vans. You'll see the modern engineering marvel known as the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. Stop by the Arctic Circle Trading Post in rural Joy, Alaska. Enjoy a lunch on the banks of the mighty Yukon river as your guides regale you with its storied past. After lunch you're on your way to a rendezvous with the Arctic Circle where you will receive an Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate. Next you will fly to the Nunamiut Eskimo village of Anaktuvuk Pass where you will meet with the inhabitants and learn about their culture and their history. Then it's back onto the plane for some flightseeing as you head back to Fairbanks for the end of the most memorable day of your life.
